We then head to the beauty of The Cotswolds, spending the afternoon visiting Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford. Blenheim Palace
Built in the early 18th century this exquisite baroque palace is home to the 11th Duke of Marlborough and is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. We'll visit the magnificent State Rooms and see the amazing collections of paintings and tapestries. We'll also see the famous gardens that surround the palace. Sweeping lawns, formal gardens and a magnificent lake, all landscaped by Capability Brown.
The Cotswolds
On leaving the splendour of Blenheim, we head into the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds. With stops at Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford you'll have plenty of opportunity to explore this area of natural beauty. You won't find a Starbucks here, it's only traditional pubs, tea rooms and an array of fascinating shops.
This is a very popular tour with visitors who want to experience the quaint English countryside, with the freedom to explore themselves.
